Thank you so much and the same is yours :)
Mine is so tiny that he has to be a miniature corso for now. Keeping fingers crossed for him to reach standard minimum of 45kg ;)

he will get more heavier for sure..but even if is small and agile it will be a strong dog, just give him good food and vitamins ;)

Good morning,

You have a very nice Cane Corso!

I looked at his weight curve, and I wondered, how did you manage to maintain this beautiful evolution between the 3rd and 8th month?

It is a natural growth, or did you help it with vitamin cures for example?

Thank you

Hi and thank you :)

That is a very fine boy you have, love the color :D

Now Nimbus isnt the biggest boy. He is natural muscular because of hours of free runs in the forest with other dogs every day.
We do weight drag sometimes as well, after he turned the age of 2 years and his body ready.

He was very underweight and malnourished when I got him.
I have raised him on raw food diet and supplements for joints, bones and healthy growth.
My dogs have free acces to food and they regulate their weight just beautiful: no under- or overweight :)
Lots of raw bones for their teeth and gums.
Raw chicken, turkey, duck , lamb, rabbit, fish, deer and calf. No pigs as the bones splinter.

I see we have the same story in this case.

When I picked up Tom, the bones in his pelvis were protruding like those of dairy cows on farms. It was borderline scary.
Hence the weight robond on the curve from the day I got it.

If I understand correctly, you apply what is called, at least in France, the BARF regime. I didn't quite understand how it works.
For the moment, Tom is on Giant Puppy kibbles from Royal Canin at will, reinforced by food supplements "CA/P=1.3" + "CA/P=2"

However, I'm curious about BARF, so if you have any advice, I'm all ears!

And another question!

Is the first Nimbus weigh-in you entered the one you did when you got him?

Because if he was undernourished at 3.5 months for 10Kg, Tom is at his ideal weight there.

Which would mean that Tom is much smaller than Nimbus at the same age.

Yes, BARF here in Denmark.
Its a kind of religion and there's different believes.
Its not really that hard, when you first get started :)
Buy whatever meat is cheap, whole chickens, dugs and turkey after Christmas, butchers leftovers, fish, if you can have a deal with a hunter, you that breeds rabbits that you can buy whole with fur and organs etc.
One day old chickens, duck, turkey and chicken necks and feet. Organs and bones from whole animals are a plus, as they will cover more of the ingredients in the meals.
Stay away from hoves and pig bones. All other bones are eaten raw.
Add whole egs, some soured diary and fat/oils from Omega3, animals, good oils etc.
Grains are OK as it is part of the stomach contents.
Parts of cow stomach, the one that process grass. Theres a word for that, but I dont know it in English.
Vegetables and fruit can be almost whatever, but no onions of any kind.
This site will guide you a bit but google a lot :)
https://perfectlyrawsome.com/raw-feeding-knowledgebase/biologically-appropriate-raw-food-barf-for-puppies/
As for supplements I use collagen, MSM, c vitamin, chondroitin, clogusamine , omega 3 and cissus quadrangularis.
I bought most as powder from bodybuilder and horse stores as you get larger amounts much cheaper.
I do cook the grains and green beans. He often gets meaty raw bones or knee caps to chew on.

No, its not the real start weight for Nimbus, he was much lower in weight. Skinny little puppy and I dont even know if he was 3 months old. I dont think so. I got 4 different dates of birth.
No papers and wrong info about parents.
He was brought for me from Ukraine in a large truck, him in the back. Cage with no bedding, covered in his own urin and shit.
The drive took 18 hours in the frozen cold. He was given no food or water. He was so so cold, hungry and thirsty.
He had a large surgical infected wound on his belly, sown with thick cotton string..I was not informed about that.
Happy he ended up with me.
I gave him free acces to food at all time and it quickly made him healthy and happy.

That was a very long writing. I tend to do that when it comes to dogs :p
Please do ask questions :)
